Chef Ilkka Lääveri returns home with restaurant Le Ankka, located in Jugendstil House Hannus on Huvilakatu, built in 1908. The intimate decor of the petit space is sourced mainly from the owners’ homes. Le Ankka is Ilkka Lääveri’s vision of a classic French meal: excellent local produce from Finland, good service and wines, sustainable values. The chef’s farmer and fisherman friends supply the freshly chosen ingredients for the restaurant. We are happy to take notice of your special dietary requirements when informed in your reservation.
The 3-4 course menus start at 49 euros.
We are also happy to serve your private events in our restaurant.
Please note: Our restaurant space is very small and our kitchen is an open kitchen. Despite the air conditioning, the odors of cooking might enter the restaurant space during the evening.
Previously, Ilkka Lääveri was head chef of Restaurant Emo for 8 years. In 2017 he was honored with the Executive Chef of the Year award. Before Emo, Ilkka Lääveri worked at Restaurant Olo and Chez Dominique, the only 2-star Michelin restaurant in Finland at that time. He is also Head Chef and manager at Restaurant Metsä, his praised summer restaurant in Hotel Punkaharju.
